FAQ's
Do you offer couple or family therapy?
All sessions are one-on-one, allowing for a personalized and focused approach to growth and healing.

While I do not offer traditional family therapy, I believe that connection is a vital part of the process. For clients under the age of 18, I maintain open communication with parents to provide updates on progress and offer guidance on how to best support their daughter at home. This ensures that while her sessions remain a private and secure space, the family remains connected to the healing process.
Do you offer trauma-focused therapy?
Yes. I am trained in Parts & Memory Therapy (Level 1) and offer EMDR-informed techniques as part of a thoughtful, trauma-informed approach. This work is integrated with care, intention, and respect for your boundaries.
If you’re curious whether EMDR-informed therapy could be supportive for you, we can explore that together at a pace that feels steady and grounded.
Why choose private pay?
Choosing to pay out-of-pocket for therapy offers several unique benefits for your care:

-
Enhanced Privacy: Your records remain completely confidential because a mental health diagnosis is not required to be shared with an insurance company.
-
Personalized Care: Our work is guided by your needs and goals, not by the restrictive timelines or guidelines set by an insurance provider.
-
Transparent Pricing: You’ll never have to worry about surprise bills, claim denials, or insurance limits on the number of sessions you can have.
Does virtual therapy work as well as in-person therapy?
Yes, it does.

Research consistently shows that online therapy supports positive outcomes for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, trauma symptoms and much more.

There are also unique benefits:

-
Clients can access care from a familiar comfortable place
-
Clients save time on commuting back and forth to an office
-
Scheduling is more flexible
-
It’s often easier to fit sessions into a busy life
Good Faith Estimate
Under the law, healthcare providers are required to inform their uninsured and private pay patients that they have a right to a “Good Faith Estimate” to help them estimate the expected charges they may be billed.
-
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
-
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
-
You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
-
Healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
-
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
